Mixed Daal

Ingredients
- ¼ cup toor dal
- ¼ cup urad dal
- ¼ cup moong dal
- ¼ cup masoor dal
- ¼ cup chana dal
- ½ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 bay leaf
- 4 cloves
- 1 black cardamom
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 dried red chilli
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 green chilli, finely chopped
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tomato, finely chopped
- ¼ tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp kasuri methi, crushed
- 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
Instructions
- Soak all the dals together for at least 30 minutes.
- Add all dals, turmeric, bay leaves to a pressure cooker with 3 cups of water.
- Cook for 12 minutes.
- In a pan, heat oil and add cloves, black cardamom, cumin, dried red chilli.
- When they splutter, add onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste and green chilli, sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add coriander powder and salt, sauté for a minute.
- Add tomatoes and cook until oil separates.
- Add the cooked dal to the pan and mix well.
- Add garam masala and kasuri methi, mix well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
Notes
Since it does not have preservatives, keep it in refrigerator. Made for bread machine.
